Life is priceless! Induced Abortion only as the last resort!

Greetings, I’m an Industrial Designer from Brazil that would love to contribute with my limited human and scientific knowledge about Induced Abortion, this important subject all around the World.

I have no ties to any organization or interests whatsoever, my objective is to share what I researched by myself about how we can have a planet with better quality of life based on well known and simple facts that I didn’t understand why nobody talks about in these discussions.

Would the mother choose induced abortion and be legally allowed or not? Is the child being formed in the mother's womb part of the mother's body or not?

In case of conception as a result of non-consensual sexual intercourse, can the mother interrupt the pregnancy?

What about fetal malformation?

What if the mother's life is at risk?

Many issues like those are currently controversial but do not survive the sieve of relatively simple scientific knowledge at the reach of anyone with schooling equivalent to high school and the application of laws in force here in Brazil and many other countries around the World in other similar situations about born people.

The first and most important point to focus our attention on is that the cell that originates at conception is formed by the union of the genetic material of the male gamete that fuses with the genetic material of the female gamete, each gamete contributes 50% of the genetic material in the new Being in development; correct?

As most people who attended high school or studied the basics of genetics can attest, this cell that originates at conception, although it is inside the mother's body and depends on it to develop in the first months of pregnancy, from the beginning is already a unique and original being, also has a unique and original DNA code.

Therefore this unique being is not part of the mother's body even depending on it for its survival; so she should not be able to dispose of the life of the being forming in its womb: if the laws of defence of life are placed in the first place.

If from conception the embryo in formation is already a unique being, why does it not enjoy the same prerogatives and legal mechanisms of defence of life as a child or any other person? If the mother or the parents cannot dispose of the lives of their children, why could they dispose of the lives of those who have not yet been born? Because one does have a birth certificate and a Social Security Number and the embryos/fetus don't?

If a boy or girl doesn’t have the right to be born, what is the need for all other rights? I don’t understand how public servants in several powerful countries don’t protect their own future.

Note that several very important nations are at risk of being absorbed by foreign cultures, simply because they aren’t having enough children to take care of their legacy. Sad, but it will happen sooner than people think.

Making just one more reflection on this part of this topic, if a child was born into a family without economic and social conditions for development, should the child be exterminated?

No, isn't it? So why is induced abortion defended and advertised as a solution to improve the quality of life of pregnant women in situations of social vulnerability? Are we really in 2022?

Another important reflection: several political leaders do use the controversy surrounding abortion that goes deep inside people’s hearts, resounding with religious values that create an emotional link hard to break; to get people’s confidence and develop several other shadowy initiatives. Once this controversy ends, we will see these ‘leaders’ and their dark agenda will have harder times.

In this line of reasoning and taking all those points discussed in previous paragraphs, let's go to the two questions that unfold from this first one?

In the case of conception after an improper or forced sexual act or contact, leaving my solidarity in first place with all who were victims of this or any other type of violence, it is necessary to emphasize that the new being forming in the mother's womb has nothing to do with the heinous crimes that originated it. Nobody can imagine how complicated the trauma and psychological problems of the mother and family are, and there is no doubt that a pregnancy resulting from rape is far from being a situation desired by anyone, but, ending the life of the fetus and removing it alleviate or even lessen the pain?

A materialistic person may answer yes to the question above, but I have to say with no joy at all: you have more chances to accumulate two traumas, rape and abortion: much harder to manage.

A small addendum: we will not have 100% of conception when the male and female gametes get in contact. Some ovum fertilized, even initiating the process of cell division, becomes a shapeless cell mass until the process ceases spontaneously. Even many in vitro or naturally fertilized embryos that are apparently healthy and viable simply stop evolving spontaneously at various stages of development. Reasons why, in some fertility treatments, several in vitro fertilized embryos are implanted to increase the chances of success in pregnancy and although it is not rare for twins or triplets to be born, not always all embryos implanted in the mother's uterus evolve to birth.

It’s true that possibly the quickest and most practical solution to the issue of pregnancy as a result of sexual abuse is the removal of the fetus, but do you know that 96% of the known Universe goes unnoticed as Dark Matter and Energy and the remaining 4% are little known?

The truth is that even with our great knowledge of the physiologic processes involved in reproduction, we cannot say with 100% of accuracy whether these or those reproductive processes will work, or not. These and other natural processes are governed by forces, variables and mechanisms far beyond our understanding, probably in that 96% of the observable universe that is unknown to us all.

So, even with all the suffering involved in the process of a pregnancy conceived as a result of a heinous crime such as rape, who could be absolutely sure of interrupting a pregnancy, the development of another Human Being, an irreversible action, with an understanding so small of everything that surrounds us; is it the right decision to make?

Shall we go further? Will any action you take to undo the previous heinous act? I 'think' none will do or work, what about you?

Let’s go on with the next question? Some countries legally allow the termination of pregnancy in case of fetal malformation. Here again, the previous arguments are timely and relevant: who has 100% certainty that this or that fetus must or must not have a reduced life, therefore having such a small knowledge of the known Universe?

Another addendum? It's well known scientifically that the fetus inside the uterus of his mother has a degree of consciousness of what happens around outside the maternal womb and can sense the mother’s emotions. Can I go beyond another time? The embryo with a few days of development doesn’t have any degree of consciousness or our scientists don't have the means to measure or sense it?

Looking at this question in another way, remember that I proposed that the new being forming in the mother's womb should be treated like any other child or person?

In this line of thinking, we can remember that euthanasia is prohibited in several countries, even in the case of serious diseases without treatment or cure that can slowly evolve to death. If it is prohibited to interrupt a person's life without any hope to get back to normal life, even with heavy financial costs and emotional commitment, why is it not prohibited to interrupt the life or the birth or fetus even if they do not survive the pregnancy or live shortly after birth?

Using a historical argument: isn't it disgusting and repulsive to know that in different cultures of antiquity there was the custom of sacrificing children with physical or mental problems or even ending the life of invalids for work? In a way, isn't that what this part of the law is allowing?

How much does one year, one month, one hour, one minute, one second of the life of another human being, even with congenital bad formation worth? Please remember that we can only sense and understand a small fraction of the 4% of the observable universe that we know about before answering.

How many beautiful examples of overcoming and resilience of people with severe congenital physical and cognitive limitations and their families do we have? Ask one of those families if they would hand over their beloved ones, even for one second!

In the case of a risk to the mother's life, doctors and specialists, including the multidisciplinary teams of hospitals, must help parents and family members to make the best decision when confronting the situation with the current ethical codes. Each case will require a different course of action. If the decision is made based on the best possible future for the family, I'm sure the chances of making a mistake will be greatly reduced.

Our lawmakers, doctors, parents and others involved in these legally authorized terminations of pregnancy; irreversible decisions; did realize that their understanding of the Universe and, consequently, of the natural and immutable laws is so small?

As we become more cosmically humble and get to know the immutable natural laws better, we will get to know ourselves better and at the same time integrate harmoniously with everything around us. The further we go in this direction, induced abortion, as well as all other legal or illegal procedures that threaten life, in all its stages of development, in all the kingdoms of nature, will gradually be restricted to the bloody pages of history.

We must remember that Human Slavery was an important aspect of the Ancient Greeks’ economy, one of the most advanced societies in antiquity. It was formally abolished a few hundred years ago all around the World even amidst many omissions and having advocates among high authorities at that time, including some eminent religious ones.

To end the topic of induced abortion on this occasion, I read about some use public opinion polls about Induced Abortion in the news trying to normalize it. There they try to justify the unjustifiable, now I ask, what about fetuses that had their life and development interrupted? What would they say if asked about it? Is it impossible to do so? It’s not impossible to put ourselves in their shoes, is it?

If we asked the captives and enslaved people in the past, how many of them were in favour of slavery? Where is the empathy of people who say they are so evolved and civilized?

I didn’t enter into the family planning justification because we are in 2022 with several contraceptive methods at our disposal, so, only get pregnant a couple that wanted or did risk it.

That's it! I did my best to contribute with scientific, human and historic facts to help you understand that life's unspeakable value is worth much more than anyone can imagine.

I hope that everybody on this Planet will know better the importance of life! All lives! In all stages of development and how little we understand of the Universe around us! There is no other alternative: we will understand it one way or another as happened with human slavery: I hope will not take so long.

See you in the next interaction. All the best!
