Modern Retro Sportscar - 2023 WIP

After hearing the news that many people order replica sports cars from the past with modern mechanical underpinnings, I thought to myself: why not incorporate changes that are commonly made into a 'new' design? Improving aerodynamics and people's safety?

This little project that is far from finished.

For those who enjoy cars, you already noticed the similarity with the AC Shelby Cobra so what changed??

The main difference is the lower, sporty and safe riding position with protection up to shoulder height, with full-size FIA homologated competition seats.

The car is 20 centimeters wider and the wheelbase increased by another 10, which in addition to contributing to stability, houses the 18" x 11" front and 18" x 14" rear wheels with more mechanical and aesthetic harmony, with 305 and 375 profile 30 front and rear tires respectively.

This preview has 15 cm of ground clearance and plenty of room to install larger wheels, or increase the profile of the tires or lower the height of the car.

This wheel diameter was chosen because it provides greater and better options for brakes and tires such as those used in Stockcar here in Brazil, parts widely used by independent car builders and customizers.

There is still a lot to evolve, there are some surfaces to harmonize and so on, but you will be able to have an idea, right? What did you think? Does anyone dare to build?

This is the conservative version: who wants to see the version with the most daring aerodynamics?
